Designing Space Futures: Feel the Future
Join The Design School at Arizona State University for Feel Your Future, an immersive evening featuring Ahmed Best — worldbuilder, actor, director, educator and creator of Earthling Culture and Dramatic Narrative Design.
This event explores how storytelling, architecture, cinema and sound come together to shape how we imagine and design futures in space. Through an interdisciplinary approach, Ahmed Best introduces frameworks that connect narrative design, emotional intelligence and spatial experience as essential tools for future-making.
Drawing from both ancient architectural precedents and contemporary creative practices, the program examines how environments, sound and storytelling work together to create meaningful human experiences. The concept of Earthling Culture is introduced as a foundation for designing with dignity for all living systems, while positioning imagination as critical infrastructure for building optimistic and inclusive futures.
The evening also offers insight into emerging approaches to immersive environments and narrative prototyping, along with a preview of potential collaborations at ASU focused on spatial storytelling and dome-based technologies. As the largest public session in the series, this event serves as a platform for connecting design, science and creative industries while fostering a culture of dreaming as a design practice.
Ahmed will be in conversation with Elena Rocchi, Head of Space Architecture and Extreme Environments), MSD program at Arizona State University. To learn more about program please visit our webpage.

Silicon Oasis Summit
Silicon Oasis Summit
Unifying Arizona’s Tech Ecosystem
The Silicon Oasis Summit marks a pivotal moment for Arizona’s innovation economy.
For the first time, the grassroots founder-led community of Silicon Oasis and the executive leadership of InvisionAZ formally unite under one aligned platform. This summit publicly announces that merger — and outlines the roadmap for what comes next.
Arizona has produced meaningful tech wins, exited founders, venture-backed growth companies, and institutional leadership. But the ecosystem has remained fragmented. This event signals a shift: a coordinated, founder-led platform designed to align capital, leadership, policy influence, and community under one entity.
ARIZONA SPACE Congress™ I Shaping the Space Frontier
Pre-Congress I Shaping the Space Frontier: A Hands-On Simulation
Hosted by Defense Innovation OnRamp Hub: Arizona
April 28 I 9:30 - 3:00 pm I Downtown Phoenix (map)
Before ARIZONA SPACE Congress™, this session will examine how major space efforts move from concept to execution across defense, commercial industry, and the infrastructure that supports both. As new technologies enter the market and national security requirements evolve, the challenge is not only developing capability, but building the power, manufacturing, launch access, and operational support systems that allow those capabilities to scale and be sustained over time. This session will explore how these pieces come together, where gaps still exist, and what it takes to build a space ecosystem that is both economically viable and operationally relevant. The workshop is intended to provide a practical look at how the space ecosystem is developed in the real world and to frame the discussions that will continue throughout ARIZONA SPACE Congress™.
Practicum
Includes an applied exercise and discussion focused on investment planning, program sequencing, and the infrastructure considerations that influence how the space ecosystem develops over time.
Access
This is a limited-capacity, add-on experience for ARIZONA SPACE Congress™ attendees. Participation details will be shared with registered guests. Register for Congress

Tyler Reese is a Radiation Effects Engineer at Raytheon Technologies. He specializes in the development of physics-based models and simulations of natural and man-made space weather events. Tyler will be presenting on behalf of the RTX Radiation Hardness and Survivability group to showcase RTX's capabilities and services in the space weather domain. His talk will highlight how the local Tucson Radiation Team can help provide parts testing, modeling and simulation, and radiation hardness design support and assistance to Arizona businesses. There are a bunch of companies in Arizona building satellites and other space hardware, and every one of them is dealing with tradeoffs around radiation design—use old, slow, rad-hard parts, or use modern processors with heavy shielding, or just YOLO it with the assumption your LEO satellite will burn up before radiation damage is a problem. It’s a complicated trade space, and Raytheon understands it as well as anyone in the world. Partnering with them can save you time, money, and pain. Come join us for the discussion!

This event will include as many of the classic Spacefest elements as possible — including space talks, book signings, art exhibits, vendor displays, and possibly field trips.
We encourage attendees to view this primarily as an opportunity to reconnect with old friends from Spacefests past and to proudly fly your space geek flag for a few days. While we will include many familiar “flavors of Spacefest,” this will not be on the same scale as the original Spacefests I–XI. (We wish we could, but we can’t!).
Tickets & Pricing (Click on the Tickets box upper right corner or here!)
Price: $250 per person (only for the early birds through May 31, after that the regular rate will be $325)Includes: Admission to the Friday and Saturday events (talks, art show, vendors, and signings)

Arizona Space Business Roundtable I Phantom Space
Arizona Space Business Roundtable
It turns out that one of our Roundtable companies is positioned to be a key player in the orbital data center market. Many of you visited Phantom Space last January, where Jim Cantrell talked about their small launch vehicles currently in development. But he didn’t go into much detail then about their “Phantom Cloud” platform. Now’s the time. Phantom Cloud will redefine how the world accesses and leverages space by shifting the industry from a hardware-centric paradigm to a rapid, software-driven ecosystem with unprecedented accessibility. Much like Henry Ford democratized terrestrial transportation a century ago, Phantom Cloud will unlock space for billions of people, enabling space enterprises to begin and end at the keyboard. By lowering barriers to entry, Phantom Cloud will crowdsource innovation, mirroring the explosive value creation seen in the mobile app ecosystem and tapping into the immense potential of space-borne data.
